Fluid Converters

Fluid converters cover the units used for flow, concentration and fluid properties in process, plumbing and lab work. The volumetric flow rate converter switches between gallons per minute, liters per second, cubic meters per hour and more. The mass flow rate converter and molar flow rate converter cover kilograms, pounds and moles per unit of time, and the mass flux density converter handles flow per area.

For solutions, the molar concentration converter handles mol/L and mmol/L, and the mass concentration converter covers mg/L, g/L and ppm for dilute water solutions. For fluid properties, the dynamic viscosity converter converts centipoise and pascal seconds, the kinematic viscosity converter converts centistokes and mm²/s, and the surface tension converter converts N/m and dyn/cm.

Each page lists its units with their SI values and a worked example. Converting between volume and mass, or between moles and grams, needs the fluid's density or molar mass, which these converters do not assume.

Fluid Converters has 10 free converters, including Dynamic Viscosity Converter, Kinematic Viscosity Converter and Mass Concentration Converter. Pick one below.
