Heat Converters
Heat converters handle thermal units used in building science, electronics cooling and engineering coursework. The thermal conductivity converter converts W/(m·K) and BTU-based units, and the heat transfer coefficient converter converts U-values between W/(m²·K) and BTU/(h·ft²·°F).
The thermal resistance converter covers K/W and °F·h/BTU, which are common for heat sinks. The heat flux density converter covers W/m² and BTU/(h·ft²), the specific heat capacity converter handles J/(kg·K) and BTU/(lb·°F), and the heat density converter covers energy per volume. The thermal expansion coefficient converter changes per-degree expansion rates between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
A key point for this group is the temperature interval converter: a temperature change of 1 °C equals 1.8 °F, with no 32-degree offset. Units that are "per degree" follow the same rule, so use that converter, not the ordinary temperature converter, for differences.
