Electricity Converters

Electricity converters change electrical quantities between SI, practical and CGS units. Start with the voltage unit converter, the electric current unit converter and the electrical resistance converter for volts, amperes and ohms with their prefixes.

For components, the capacitance converter handles farads down to picofarads, and the inductance converter handles henries and their fractions. The electric charge converter includes battery units such as ampere-hours and milliampere-hours. Field and density converters cover electric field strength, linear, surface and volume charge density, and linear and area current density. Conductance, conductivity and resistivity converters cover the material properties behind a circuit.

Each page lists every supported unit with its value in the SI base unit and shows a worked example. CGS units such as the abcoulomb and statvolt follow their standard definitions. Use the Ohm's law calculator when you need to relate voltage, current and resistance rather than convert one of them.

Electricity Converters has 15 free converters, including Capacitance Converter, Current Density Unit Converter and Electric Charge Unit Converter. Pick one below.
