The file tool library
Developer Files
Developer file tools run local preflight checks on configuration and delivery files before you deploy them. The AASA validator inspects an apple-app-site-association file for JSON and app-link rule problems, and the Android Asset Links validator checks the statements in an assetlinks.json file for Android App Links.
For localization, the XLIFF validator spots structural problems in a translation file before you reimport it. For streaming, the HLS M3U8 playlist validator runs a basic text check for missing segment references, mixed playlist tags and a suspicious target duration.
These are preflight checks on a supported subset of each format. They catch common mistakes early but do not replace the platform's own validation, such as Apple's or Google's association checks, or a full test on real devices. Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded, but avoid pasting secrets or private keys into any file you check.
